The Malta Business Registry (MBR) is responsible for handling the registration of new commercial partnerships, the registration of documents related to partnerships, the issuing of certified documentation such as certificates of good-standing, the reservation of company names, the collection of registration and other fees, the publication of notices, and the imposition and collection of penalties. Additionally, the MBR conducts investigations of companies and keeps the company and partnership register, as mandated by Subsidiary Legislation 497.27.
