This store is now taken over by MORE. The improvements or rather re-engineering of every process and much better us of premises is evident and has improved the priority of most customers today which is CONVENIENCE.
But I find one thing which is by far behind any other if benchmarked correctly and if I should start going from Mosta to B'Kara to Smart again, it will be simply because of this.
Cash Points - Staff attitude - Plastic bags whenever needed or boxes.
To go through cash points it is a misery. Even if I do not go during peak hours, they only leave one cash point open. The cash point process itself is slow for many reasons which have to do with bad practices or lack of training or understanding people needs. As soon as some one does not bring his own bags it escalates into much waste of time since plastic bags provided are the smallest and no one seems to help by alerting someone else to provide a cartoon box to fasten the process. The girl just look and waits. I always have with me a hand held trolley similar to the once provided by More which I bought from Like. So I have no problem really.
But on one occasion it happened to me too. I forgot my trolley behind me and I was so frustrated after making a purchase of 73 Euros. I asked for a cartoon Box - AND SHE SAID WE DO NOT HAVE ANY!! I did not wish to argue with her since it was clearly my fault anyway. However this attitude was not acceptable to me in front of so many people waiting behind me. I did not know what to say or do. I just left everything on the cash desk and left the premises too. This way, maybe, someone from management will take note. I do not thing anybody did and probably rather than highlight this to management, they put all the goods I had collected back on the shelves.
