Wastewater Science - Valletta, Malta

Wastewater Science is a company on a mission to fight climate change at one of its most potent sources—agricultural wastewater. Founded with the winning idea of the 2015 Maltese Business Idea Competition Climate Launch Pad, our team of scientists and business leaders have developed a plan to install our wastewater treatment units in locations where they are needed most. Through this initiative, we will be able to reduce the number one source of environmental stress—waste in the animal agricultural industry—while providing lower energy costs, a reduced carbon footprint, water recovery, and nutrient recovery.

Our mission is to empower people in each area we sell our units to, allowing them to become green entrepreneurs. As an added incentive, we plan to give out free units to deserving communities for every three units sold. To support these entrepreneurs, we also plan to set up vermi-composting farms, which will be educational and beneficial for the environment.

We believe that our wastewater recovery units are desperately needed in developing nations and are determined to bridge the gap and make a difference.
