What's expected of you?

• Oversee and maintain the organisation’s computer systems, including servers, network devices, and storage infrastructure
• Install, configure, and optimise hardware and software, ensuring smooth deployment of applications and operation of LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi networks
• Monitor system performance, identify and address bottlenecks, and implement upgrades or patches. Implement and maintain robust security measures and ensure reliable data protection
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT staff, including L2 and L3 support; diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues promptly
• Develop and implement disaster recovery plans, and ensure business continuity through effective policy implementation and data protection strategies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation and knowledge base. Ensure compliance with company standards and oversee project activities according to ISO and LPCB standards
• Lead the Operations team, set priorities, and foster collaboration
• Provide guidance to new team members and assist project managers with day-to-day duties
• Promote health and safety awareness and support on-site personnel in line with local legislation
• Maintain updated records, respond to client inquiries, conduct follow-ups, and ensure the smooth synchronisation of hybrid MS environments with on-premises servers

 

What are you expected to bring?

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field 
• Previous experience as a System Administrator
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, IP addressing, routing, subnetting, and cybersecurity. Proficient in Linux, Microsoft Office, MS365, AvP, PowerShell, and SQL Server
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide teams and foster collaboration
• Experience in project management, including scheduling, coordination, and risk management
• Excellent communication skills in English; basic Maltese is a plus
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills
• Professional demeanour, organisational skills, and reliability in meeting deadlines
• Understanding of budgeting and financial management in projects
