We are seeking a skilled Financial Controller to join our client, a reputable and dynamic manufacturing company in Malta. What's expected of you?

• Provide financial insights to support decision-making and enhance performance
• Deliver financial reports to stakeholders at all levels, from operations to senior leadership
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring it aligns with company objectives
• Promote financial accountability by driving teams to achieve financial targets
• Oversee the management of P&L, balance sheets, month-end closings, and variance analysis
• Ensure robust internal controls and effective management of financial systems
• Guide financial planning for initiatives focused on improving efficiency and reducing waste
• Optimise cash flow by managing working capital effectively
• Act as the main contact for external audit procedures

 

What are you expected to bring?

• Recognized accounting qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ACMA, or equivalent
• Proven experience in a similar role, with expertise in cost accounting and cross-functional collaboration
• Strong track record of driving business improvements, and implementing new systems
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead a high-performing finance team
• Strong analytical skills to provide financial insights and drive accountability
• Adaptable and willing to travel periodically, with flexibility for non-standard hours when required
