What’s expected of you?

• Build, mentor, and guide employees to establish a future-ready finance team
• Translate growth goals into actionable financial strategies that drive value creation
• Develop and implement KPIs across the organization to ensure a streamlined structure
• Oversee the contractual, fiscal, and administrative aspects of partnerships and joint ventures
• Deliver comprehensive business intelligence, ensuring robust management reporting and financial health analysis with a focus on cash flow and profitability
• Play an active role in the local/regional management team, shaping overall strategy with a focus on sustainable growth, investment, and financing for both short- and long-term goals
• Lead by example, staying hands-on with projects and actively supporting business development and operations

 

What are you expected to bring?

• Degree in Finance, Business, or related field
• 10+ years of client service experience in banking or fintech, with strong accountability and integrity
• Expertise in accounting and financial modeling, particularly in Maltese and European markets; CFA/CPA preferred
• Proficient in financial software, especially in the Maltese market
• Fluent in English, able to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of banking products, regulatory frameworks, and market trends in Malta and Europe
• Proven experience in financial management, planning, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, with a solid grasp of IFRS/GAAP and local regulations
• Leadership in managing finance teams and advising C-level stakeholders on strategic financial decisions
• Strong compliance focus, overseeing risk management and regulatory adherence
• Known for integrity and commitment to the organization's financial health
