Job offer: Trader & Fund Operations Executive (Fully Remote)

Our client, specializing in investment fund is looking to recruit a Trader & Operations Executive to join their growing team. Working closely with the Portfolio Managers, the chosen candidate will be assisting with day-to-day trading activities and supporting the broader fund operations.

Responsibilities:

• Execute trades on equities, fixed income, and other financial instruments in line with portfolio managers’ strategies and directives.
• Monitor market conditions, trade flows, and execution quality, ensuring optimal trading performance.
• Manage trade settlements, reconciliations, and post-trade processes.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of trading systems and tools for improved trade execution and reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of pre-trade reporting, and projects as directed by the Board and/or CEO.
• Coordinate with custodians, prime brokers, and other counterparties to resolve operational issues and ensure accurate trade settlements.
• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations between fund data and custodial accounts.
• Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly fund performance reports, assisting in fund administration activities as needed.
• Participate in the NAV reviews.
• Adhere to internal risk controls and compliance policies during all trading activities.
• Support the Investment Committee and Risk Team and contribute to the continuous improvement of risk management processes.

• Able to find the right balance between trading execution and operational support,
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role with an investments firm or bank
• Strong knowledge on bonds, financial markets, trading systems, and trade execution practices.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, Reuters, and trading platforms.
• Candidates need to based in Malta

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
