What is expected of you?
- Prepare and submit monthly management accounts for assigned companies
- Compile and file VAT returns accurately and on time
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal financial policies
- Review and enhance internal control procedures, updating processes as needed
- Develop and maintain systems to monitor company costs, including standard costing, job/project costing, and financial feasibilities for tenders or transactions
- Lead the budgeting process for assigned companies under the supervision of the line manager
- Assist in controlling cash flow, preparing forecasts, and ensuring alignment with company objectives
- Process monthly work-in-progress calculations with accuracy and consistency across ongoing projects
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by management
- Provide insights and actionable recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency
- Manage and guide the accounts team to ensure objectives are achieved and tasks are completed efficiently and accurately
What are you expected to bring?
- ACCA qualified, in the final stages of qualification, or holding a University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, project costing, and budgeting processes.
- Must be able to work independently as well as within a team
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret financial data, identify inefficiencies, and implement effective solutions.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, fostering collaboration, alignment with company goals, and a dynamic work environment.
