What is expected of you?

• Prepare and submit monthly management accounts for assigned companies
• Compile and file VAT returns accurately and on time
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal financial policies
• Review and enhance internal control procedures, updating processes as needed
• Develop and maintain systems to monitor company costs, including standard costing, job/project costing, and financial feasibilities for tenders or transactions
• Lead the budgeting process for assigned companies under the supervision of the line manager
• Assist in controlling cash flow, preparing forecasts, and ensuring alignment with company objectives
• Process monthly work-in-progress calculations with accuracy and consistency across ongoing projects
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by management
• Provide insights and actionable recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency
• Manage and guide the accounts team to ensure objectives are achieved and tasks are completed efficiently and accurately

 

What are you expected to bring?

• ACCA qualified, in the final stages of qualification, or holding a University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Prior experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, project costing, and budgeting processes.
• Must be able to work independently as well as within a team
•  Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret financial data, identify inefficiencies, and implement effective solutions.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, fostering collaboration, alignment with company goals, and a dynamic work environment.
• Communication and interpersonal skills
