Job offer: Social Media Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Specialist to join our Clients team. Content will be mainly focused on marketing an online news portal dedicated to delivering timely and engaging content across all major social media platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and more. This role requires a strong understanding of social media trends, proficiency in graphic design, and the ability to create simple videos. You will also support various ad hoc social media tasks across different industries as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and curate content for all social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and others.
• Develop and implement social media strategies to increase engagement and followers.
• Create eye-catching graphics and simple videos to enhance social media posts.
• Monitor social media trends, track performance, and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and build a strong online community.
• Collaborate with the editorial and marketing teams to align content with the brands voice and goals.
• Assist with ad hoc social media tasks for other projects and industries as needed.
• Analyse social media metrics and prepare regular reports on performance and growth.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role in the news or media industry.
• Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
• Strong graphic design skills and experience with tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
• Ability to create and edit simple videos for social media use.
• Excellent understanding of social media platforms and trends, particularly Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok.
• Strong communication skills and ability to write compelling copy.
• Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• A creative mindset with a keen eye for detail.
• Familiarity with SEO, content marketing, and digital advertising is a plus.
