On Behalf of our client, Manpower is seeking to recruit a Senior Manager - ICT Operations.
About the Role:
As Senior Manager (ICT Operations), your tasks will include:
- Ensuring the smooth running of IT systems and operations within the company.
- Ensuring the adoption and application of comprehensive information security practices by the company.
- Developing and maintaining ICT policies, standards, and procedures for IT systems installation and configuration, operations, development, and data management.
- Identifying opportunities for technological innovation and improvement.
- Collaborating to optimize the companys processes and increase automation.
- Managing the procurement, deployment, and maintenance of hardware and software resources.
- Providing technical support across various departments within the company, ensuring business continuity of ICT services, including hardware, software, connectivity, and web services.
- Maintaining and managing the companys ICT inventory.
- Installing and configuring systems, servers, hardware, software, services, etc., in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
- Monitoring systems to ensure hardware and server resources are reliable.
- Managing and monitoring systems backups/restores.
- Carrying out ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, system updates, and resource optimization as required.
- Creating and maintaining user accounts and assigning privileges through security systems to ensure efficient operations at all levels.
- Staying abreast of evolving technologies.
- Maintaining updated documentation about systems' configurations where necessary.
- Providing basic training to end-users if needed.
- Implementing and maintaining robust security measures to safeguard sensitive data.
- Actively participating in training and development programs for self-development.
- Performing any other duties or responsibilities as may be requested by the Head of IT and/or Chief Technology Officer that are within the scope of the post or are deemed necessary for the effective operation of the office.
About You:
The company is looking for a Senior Manager (ICT Operations) of the highest personal and professional integrity, principle, and knowledge, earning respect and support when making decisions and choices. The selected candidate needs to be a self-directed person with a strong work ethic and high expectations for performance; a person who leads by example and sets strong professional and personal standards for every activity.
The role requires the possession of a minimum of a bachelors degree qualification (MQF Level 6) or higher, as recognized and certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) in ICT, Computer Science/Engineering, or an equivalent field. You will also need a minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience in ICT, three (3) of which must be in a similar role within a formal and mature ICT environment.
Furthermore, the ideal candidate should:
- Have experience in virtualization.
- Have extensive knowledge of Azure Services (including, but not limited to, compute, storage, networking, and databases) and different Windows Platforms operating systems, Microsoft Suite, Windows Servers, and Microsoft Services.
If you do not have the necessary academic or professional qualifications but have at least fifteen (15) years of relevant work experience, we would still be interested in considering you.
