Job offer: Compliance Analyst

We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded professional to assist the Compliance Manager to ensure Compliance with all applicable Regulations across Finance / Banking

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the Bank's compliance obligations to the various laws, rules and regulations, including Banking.
• Support in the maintenance, improvement, and introduction of controls to mitigate compliance risks.
• Support compliance monitoring and testing and analysis of the results identifying any deficiencies.
• Escalate appropriate concerns to the Compliance Manager.
• Assisting in the implementation of new test checks/reviews.
• Support the Bank in maintaining a sound compliance framework, including an up-to-date compliance register.
• Work to achieve increased compliance awareness and maintain a strong compliance culture across the organization.
• Assist generally the Compliance Manager, including with ad-hoc projects or tasks as required.

Skills & Experience:

• Banking and/or finance and/or law related qualification from a reputable European university or equivalent.
• Minimum two years experience in a similar role.
• Good knowledge of Maltese and European banking legislation including Banking Rules.
• Strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Being meticulous and attentive to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills (English).
• Proficiency in using MS Office applications especially MS Excel.
