Job offer: Chef de Partie

Manpower is seeking to recruit a Chef de Partie to join our client team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standard and in a timely manner. • Oversee a designated section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, sauté, pastry, etc.) and ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards.
• Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Prepare and cook food according to established recipes and guidelines, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
• Monitor portion sizes and assist in managing food inventory and stock levels for the section.
• Ensure that the section is kept clean, organized, and meets all health and safety regulations.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in your section, ensuring they develop their culinary skills.
• Contribute to menu development by suggesting new ideas and techniques.
• Handle any issues that arise in the section and resolve them efficiently.
• Ensure timely delivery of dishes, particularly during busy service periods.

• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role in a professional kitchen.
• Good level of English
• Excellent culinary skills with the ability to work across various kitchen sections.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, health, and safety standards.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Job Info :

• Type of Contract: Indefinite direct with our client.
• Salary : Depending on experience

• Working Hours : Monday to Sunday with 2 days off and shifting as follows:
  • 1st Shift 7:00 - 16:00
  • 2nd Shift 12:00 - 20:00 (Saint Julian till 22:00)
• Job Location : Valletta and Saint Julian
• Candidate location : Must be already living in Malta
